AMOLED shortage to become the surplus in 2011
Samsung’s beautiful Super AMOLED panels R becom`g more & more common in mobile devices, although (unless) they’re not as common as they could B if there were more of the things fly`g out of Samsung Mobile Display factories. Predictably that’s set to change in 2011, w/ SMD plann`g to fulfill its promise & br`g another production facility online, while other competitors in Korea, Taiwan, & Singapore`ll ramp up their own AMOLED facilities in the com`g year. Meanwhile, China`s said to B work`g on its OLED supply chain as well, mean`g those displays of the passive matrix variety`ll also B fly`g off of assembly lines soon. So, 2011 may still not B the year of the chicken in every pot, although (unless) it could B the year of glowy organic goo in every smartphone.
