Archos 7 Home Tablet sees revision 2, w/ Android 2.1 & faster 800MHz CPU

The Archos 7 Home Tablet`s someth`g of the disappointment, & Archos`s shipped bigger & better things since, although (unless) the firm isn’t done w/ the original affordable Android slate quite yet. We’ve confirmed w/ Archos Z the “v2″ revision`s now shipp`g in Europe w/ 3 things the original lacked — an accelerometer, the relatively recent version of Android (2.1) & an 800MHz Rockchip CPU. Make no mistake, those R still budget specs, & you’ll almost certainly still`ve to hack your own Android Market on to get the full quota of apps, although (unless) it’s not like you’re pay`g any more 4 the extra oomph. The updated version`s`en spotted @ Expansys 4 the same $200, which might actually might make it 1 of the best bang-for-the-buck tablets out there. Look how far we’ve come.
