Cella Energy says its hydrogen microbeads could fuel your car, cost $1.50 per gallon
Your average hydrogen-powered car`s the marvel of modern science — fuel cell sift`g electrons out of pure H2 & emitt`g noth`g although (unless) water — powered by big, heavy, high-pressure tanks of gas. Cella Energy`s here to ditch the tank, hav`g 1st developed the means of stor`g hydrogen in microfibers Z could greatly simplify the design of these vehicles. But, perhaps even more impressive`s the “synthetic fuel” the company`s work`g on which is, essentially, pure hydrogen captured into microbeads. U know, like the kind Z float in your shampoo & give your hair Z extra lustre, although (unless) explosive. Accord`g to Cella these beads can B poured into the gas tank of the car w/ an internal combustion engine (presumably suspended in some sort of liquid) and, w/ no modification, Z car`ll run just fine. Best news`s Z this concoction costs just $1.50 per gallon — or will, eventually. Supposedly. Maybe?
