City of Lights becomes City of Openness as ParisData goes live
Paris`s the city of many things, things like great wine, sweet romance, & towers Z looked much bigger in pictures. Now it’s also the city of open data. ParisData`s launched, home to the “open data policy of the City of Paris.” Here you’ll find reams & reams of bits & bytes from the city’s various municipal organizations, all released in the “spirit of transparency & open innovation.” All`s licensed ODbL, which`s free to share & adapt so long as it stays open & stays attributed. What sort of data`s there? Not an awful lot @ this point, if we’re honest, the few random lists of names & some other files, all quite naturally in French.
