Like V said, U don’t`ve to wait until August 3rd to get your Android 2.2 Froyo update 4 the EVO 4G . U can grab the update file right now from HTC’s servers (via source link). All U gotta do then`s move the file to the root directory of your SD card, boot the phone into recovery mode (hold the “up” button while the phone`s turn`g on), & select apply update from the associated .zip file — U might also`ve to rename the file “update.zip” & expect the few other variations in the instructions, user depending. Too much thought process 4 Friday evening? Feel free to take the crack @ it tomorrow, or simply wait 4 Sprint to give your phone the head’s up next week. Update: HTC just shot us the message to clarify Z this`s not the final ROM version & Z the company`s strongly recommend`g not to install this.
