HP Envy 14 Beats Edition no longer available w/ Dr. Dre endorsed headphones, results in price drop
The differences between the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition & the plain ol’ Envy 14`ve`en primarily aesthetic — it’s got the black Beats branded lid & red backlit keyboard — although (unless) HP’s also included Z set of Monster Beats Solo headphones U C up there. Sadly, Z last differentiator`s no longer. We’d heard from the few readers Z their Envy 14 Beats Edition laptops arrived sans headphones, & HP`s confirmed 4 us Z due to “supply constraints” the Dr. Dre Solo from Monster headphones R no longer included w/ the snazzy black & red laptop. Hopefully those customers Z paid full price 4 the laptop & didn’t receive the Solos`ll get the refund, although (unless) we’re told by HP Z the price`s`en lowered by $100 since the cans went out of stock — the start`g price`s originally $1,249.99 and`s now $1,149.99. We’re not entirely sure why you’d pay $150 more 4 the Beats version now, consider`g U get the same audio experience w/ the standard $999.99 Envy, although (unless) what do V know? There may B tons of diehard Beats Audio fans liv`g amongst us. Thanks to everyone who sent this in HP Envy 14 Beats Edition no longer available w/ Dr. Dre endorsed headphones, results in price drop originally appeared on Engadget on Sat, 30 Oct 2010 19:41:00 EDT.
