The recently released PS3 firmware 3.41 seemed to just B the minor update Z added the new “You May Like” section to the PlayStation Store, although (unless) it looks like it’s`en caus`g noth`g although (unless) headaches 4 anyone try`g to upgrade the hard drive in their console. As the 30-page strong thread on the official PlayStation forums reveals, folks upgrad`g their hard drive`ve`en gett`g the “no applicable data” error after try`g to install the update , which`s left them w/ the non-work`g PS3 and, in some cases, the corrupted original drive. Accord`g to CVG , the issue may`ve someth`g to do w/ the newly discovered feature of the 3.41 update Z allows 4 more incremental patches, which might also explain why the problem only seems to B affect`g PS3s where the firmware`s stored in on the hard drive instead of the system’s memory. As 4 Sony, it hasn’t offered an official explanation just yet, although (unless) all indications R Z it’s the bug & not an intentional block`g of hard drive upgrades — @ least V hope it is.
