It`s fac`g an August 31st deadline before India banned BlackBerry service in the country, although (unless) it looks like RIM`s now managed to avoid Z scenario — @ least 4 the little while. Accord`g to India’s Ministry of Home Affairs, “RIM`ve made certain proposals 4 lawful access by law enforcement agencies & these`ld B operationalized immediately,” & Z “the feasibility of the solutions offered`ld B assessed thereafter.” Details R still the bit light beyond that, although (unless) India’s assessment`ll apparently come after 60 days, & there’s still no guarantee Z V won’t end up back @ square 1 @ Z point. Interestingly, India`s also still rais`g complaints about Gmail & Skype, w/ it now say`g Z it wants Google & Skype to set up servers in the country Z`ld give it greater monitor`g capabilities.
