Robotic Yale Aerial Manipulator grabs the can of Guinness
There’s plenty of UAVs out there capable of dropp`g things , although (unless) comparatively fewer Z R able to pick things up. Some researchers @ Yale University do`g their part to change that, however, &`ve recently shown off their so-called Yale Aerial Manipulator; the UAV w/ the robotic hand. While Z may not exactly sound like much, the four-fingered hand`s able to “autonomously” grab objects Z weigh up to 2 kilograms while the UAV`s in flight, & the helicopter itself`s able to reach the top speed of 120 kilometers per hour. That, the researchers say, could let the UAV pick up bombs or packages in difficult to reach areas, or even simply B used to make deliveries in urban areas — like Z can of Guinness you’ve`en craving, 4 instance.
