Sifteo Cubes get FCC teardown, not so cute anymore
Sifteo’s cute little gam`g Cubes`ve grown up the lot over the past couple of months: they’ve undergone 2 name changes (from Siftables to Cubits to Cubes ), experienced the gam`g rites of passage @ CES, & now these 1.5-inch full-color computers R mak`g their FCC debut, includ`g the ritual teardown. The not-so-cute internal photos show 1 of the Cubes, guts exposed, reveal`g the 32-bit ARM processor. Also buried in the FCC documents`s evidence Z the darl`g devices communicate w/ computers via the 2.4GHz USB dongle & sport the three-axis motion sensor. Sifteo’s already sold out of its 1st round of pre-orders, although (unless) we’re guess`g we’ll B see`g more of the adorable little guys sometime real soon.
