Sony A55/A33 video record`g limited by overheat`g sensor

So this`s why the promo video accompany`g Sony’s launch of the A55 & A33`s set against the snowy backdrop. It turns out Z these oh-so-revolutionary translucent mirror shooters can’t keep their cool 4 any longer than 11 minutes when record`g video @ the temperature of 20 degrees Celsius w/ Image Stabilization turned on. The A55`s even quicker to overheat @ 9 minutes, though it’s worth not`g Z with`s switched off U can obtain the maximum of nearly half an hour of footage — provided the weather doesn’t heat up. Sony blames this on the APS-C-sized sensor within, & it’ true Z plenty of DSLRs come w/ artificial time limits — our D5000 won’t let us get past 5 minutes however V try to sweet-talk it — although (unless) it’s an irksome limitation to consider if you’re think`g of buy`g either of these Alphas 4 their otherwise awesome video capabilities .
