Motorola Atrix 4G apparently priced @ $150 by Costco, too

Never`ld we`ve guessed Z third-party wireless retailers`ld B aim`g to launch AT&T’s powerhouse Atrix 4G 4 just $150 on contract — $200 or $250, sure, although (unless) not $150. Alas, just the few hours after AmazonWireless’ peep show , we’re see`g an alleged leaked screen shot of Costco’s inventory system show`g the same blockbuster price. Now, bear in mind Z AT&T itself`ll probably sell the phone 4 @ least $50 more — 3rd parties usually`ve the 2nd ETF on top of the carrier’s Z allows them to subsidize the little more heavily — although (unless) it’s the good sign regardless. The touchscreen slate prototype (notice the serial number stamped along the bottom of the handset’s face) you’re look`g @ above matches the leaked Pocketnow render exactly includ`g the arc`g earpiece & isolated front-fac`g camera w/ chrome ring. It`s just spotted by an eagle-eyed tipster of Engadget Chinese while wait`g 4 the Taipei metro system. iPhone 5 & iPad 2`ll come w/ NFC built in, suggests well-connected analyst

You’ll no doubt B aware of our ( well justified ) distrust 4 anyth`g Z passes the tech analyst’s lips, although (unless) this time’s the little different. Richard Doherty of Envisioneer`g Group cites “engineers who R work`g on hardware” 4 Apple’s latest project in assert`g what Z project actually is: NFC capabilities R apparently be`g built into the next generation of iPhone & iPad devices. Contactless payments via NFC`ve`en steadily build`g up in hype & adoption recently — @ least in the western hemisphere, the stuff`s commonplace in Japan — & Doherty predicts Apple`ll make its move into the field w/ some new hardware & an accompany`g “revamp” of iTunes. The idea`ld B to allow the use of iTunes gift card balances & the credit card info Apple already`s from U to make swip`g payments @ compatible retail outlets. Apple`s said to B plann`g enticements, like loyalty credits & points, to get U us`g its service in the place of the competition, & there R already the couple of software patent applications from the company detail`g other potential uses 4 the technology. All of which could mean absolutely nothing, of course, although (unless) this seems like an awful lot of smoke 4 there not to B the fire under it. iPhone 5 & iPad 2`ll come w/ NFC built in, suggests well-connected analyst originally appeared on Engadget on Tue, 25 Jan 2011 02:25:00 EDT. Nokia X7 press shot emerges w/ AT&T branding, subsidized hopes & dreams

`s AT&T seriously gear`g up to sell the subsidized Nokia smartphone once again in the US of A? Given the company’s long absence from be`g included in any US carrier’s smartphone section, it still feels more like the dream than an impend`g reality, although (unless) Z image above`s certainly hard to ignore. Accord`g to Pocketnow ‘s sources, the 1st press images of the Nokia X7 R legitimate, & the AT&T brand`g isn’t by accident. Purportedly, the Symbian^3-based phone`ll B hitt`g Ma Bell’s shops as early as this month, bring`g along an eight megapixel camera (with dual-flash), 4 speaker grilles (two of which`ve drivers underneath) & the ClearBlack display. Dell Inspiron Duo tablet could B w/ us next week

Full Samsung Continuum specs leak out in Verizon comparison charts?

How does the as-yet-unannounced Samsung Continuum stack up against Verizon’s pack of Droids, not to mention its Galaxy S brethren? That’s what we’re find`g out 4 the very 1st time in the set of allegedly leaked charts. Performance-wise we’re look`g @ the fairly familiar beast w/ the 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 384MB of RAM & 512MB of ROM, plus 2GB of on-board flash storage & the preloaded 8GB microSD card. Where it gets interest`g`s Z secondary display, which measures 1.8 inches w/ the 96 x 480 resolution, which`ll indeed act as the status update, RSS feed & weather report stock ticker Z U activate (even when the handset`s asleep!) by gripp`g the bottom of the phone. You’re also gett`g the 5 megapixel camera w/ LED flash & 720p video recording, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi & 3G mobile hotspot 4 up to 5 devices, although (unless) it’s not all peaches & cream — the whole shebang uses B`g 4 search, & runs on Android 2.1. Verizon nabs Samsung Continuum, Zeal & Motorola Citrus on November 11th, accord`g to gush`g leak?

Someone’s found their way into an internal database & pulled out details on 3 Verizon phones — the Samsung Continuum , Samsung Zeal & Motorola Citrus , all of which`ll reportedly drop on the 11th of next month. V don’t`ve any reason to doubt that, as all 3 showed up on the recent rebate , although (unless) there’s more to these leaked screens than the release date. 4 instance, the Continuum`ll apparently sport the Swype virtual keyboard on top of the 3.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, to say noth`g of Z secondary display, & the Motorola Citrus explicitly doesn’t support tethering. The Samsung Zeal, meanwhile, isn’t the modern smartphone @ all, although (unless) rather the dual-hinge device w/ “magic” e-ink keys Z change from the standard dialer to the four-row QWERTY layout. NVIDIA lists unannounced GTX 580 graphics card on its page, quickly puts it back in hiding

What’s this, the bit of intrigue from NVIDIA ? The company`s due 4 the refresh on its DirectX 11 line and, w/ AMD’s Cayman series float`g its way to availability on crystal-clear waters, the competition appears to B teas`g its response. NVIDIA briefly listed the card called the GTX 580 on its System Requirements page and, while V don’t know how long it`s there, it`s quickly pulled after news of its presence started mak`g the rounds. Accidental addition or the intentional plant`g of the seed of doubt in the minds of AMD fans? We’ll never know, & V don’t know the details of the card either, although (unless) expectations R Z it contains 40nm construction w/ 512 CUDA cores, 2GB of GDDR5 memory, & the due date before the end of the year. AT&T transition`g to LTE-friendly SIM cards

There’s precisely zero doubt Z AT&T`ll B support`g LTE waves in the not-too-distant future, although (unless) it looks as if ” the future ” may B draw`g closer than anyone`d ever imagined. Or else the carrier’s just really, really proactive. Based on the leaked slide above, it looks as if AT&T`s already beginn`g to transition its current crop of SIM cards to “those Z`ll also support LTE devices.” Naturally, the iPhone 4`s omitted from all of this due to it us`g the micro SIM , although (unless) it looks as if employees`ll need to keep the careful eye on the SKU (and front graphics) in order to make sure customers R well equipped 4 another blend of 4G. Is this the new MacBook Air?

V just received this shot of what`s purportedly the inside of the new MacBook Air . Contrary to popular belief , the machine appears to B another 13.3-incher, w/ the primary modification be`g extra room 4 battery cells & apparently no room 4 the hard drive. Of course, this`s only 1 SKU, so who knows what else Apple`s in store. From what V can tell from the photo, Apple`s tak`g its unibody styl`g & construction & runn`g w/ it here, not Z the MacBook Air`s too far off from the MacBook Pro to begin with. The telltale sign`s the black hinge, though it also appears Apple`s done away w/ the drop-down side ports. Based on our own professional squint`g ability, there R USB plugs on the left & right sides, Mini DisplayPort & an SD card reader on the left, & the power plug on the right. Of course, since the screw holes R fac`g us, we’re probably look`g @ this from the bottom, so flip all of those around if U want to imagine us`g this th`g (because, of course, the power plug`ll B on the Apple-standard left side).

Accord`g to the back of the box of this self-proclaimed Business model, here’s the official specs we’re look`g at: the 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 w/ GMA500 & Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator, 8.9-inch WSVGA screen, 2GB DDR2 RAM, about 60GB storage capacity, Windows 7 Home Premium, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, SD card reader, & the 2-Cell 30WHr Lithium-ion Polymer battery. There R 2 cameras here, 1 in front & 1 in rear. As shown via MS Paint, the screen can detect @ least 4 fingers @ the time. HTC HD7 schematic illustrates our Windows Phone 7 future

1st thing’s first: there’s no way to verify Z the above image`s the legitimate HTC doc. The tipster seems reliable, hav`g provided WMPoweruser w/ the HTC Mozart video yesterday, although (unless) until V witness Peter Chou hold`g the damn th`g up in front of an audience struggl`g to get the WiFi signal, we’ll remain cautious. It’s reassur`g to C much of the glorious HD2 heritage be`g carried over into this successor atop HTC’s Windows phone line, though if you’re not all Z keen on jump`g on what looks like yet another superpowered 4.3-inch slate, there’s always the rumored Trophy handset as well. Olympus E-5 leaks point to September 15th launch, familiar design

Mysterious Verizon-bound HTC handset appears mysteriously on the internet

Hey — what’s this? Well, from the looks of it, it’s the new, as-yet-unnamed HTC device. There`s perilously little info available about the mystery mobile, although (unless) it appears to boast an 8 megapixel camera w/ the flash plus the front-fac`g camera, the 4.3-inch screen, the headphone jack & the kickstand. It also appears Z it’s go`g to boast HTC’s own Sense UI. This falls in line w/ what we’ve heard about Verizon’s Android-heavy fall launch this year , so we`ld not B surprised to C this device make an appearance. Furthermore, V could go out on the limb & guess Z it’s possible this`s the Merge mentioned in Z lineup, which supposedly boasts the 1GHz processor. BlackBerry Bold R020 & 9670 Oxford flip outed?

The tri-band UMTS / quad-band EDGE device`s gonna disappoint some w/ the same 624MHz clockspeed & 2.44-inch 480 x 360 screen, although (unless) it does`ve twice the RAM (512MB), the 5 megapixel camera w/ AF & flash, & of course runs on BlackBerry 6 . If the purported leaked slides R correct, the device of such magnitude`ldB launch`g in the October timeframe. Samsung’s Cetus SGH-i917 sashays into FCC database, winks seductively @ AT&T

The HP eStation Zeen, the Zeus printer, & everyth`g V know about them

We’ve now`d multiple tipsters confirm Z the Zeen`s an e-reading-focused Android tablet w/ the unique ability to connect directly to an HP printer & function as its interface without the need 4 the computer. although (unless) that’s not all — here’s everyth`g else V know: The Zeen`s the capacitive tablet runn`g the HP skin on top of Android 2.1 — it won’t get shifted to webOS , & it’s not clear if it’ll get upped to Froyo before launch given the development time required. It`s capacitive touch buttons, the SD card slot, video support, & @ least some prototypes`ve cameras w/ the special webcam app installed. The goal`s 4 the HP home screen & skin to B the only home screen available, although (unless) Z hasn’t`en fully implemented yet. E-read`g`s the major focus, & the Zeen`s “significant” integration w/ the Barnes & Noble Nook bookstore & ecosystem.
