Think City electric car gets bigger American batteries 4 bigger American roads

The electric Think City`s`en target`g an American release 4 well over 2 years now but, like many EVs , those dates just kept on ‘a slipping. Now the cars R finally start`g to hit the colonies and, as the reward 4 the wait, we’re receiv`g models w/ more powerful batteries. The cells R supplied by Indiana-based Ener1, the new lithium-manganese pack Z offers 25kWh. Those cells R said to double the car’s previous expected range, up to 100 miles from 50, yet still recharge in the scant 4 hours — if you’re us`g the 240v plug. The folks @ Green Car Advisor managed the maximum of 68mph in the two-seater and, driv`g in the decidedly non-eco-minded way, managed 43.5 miles w/ 38 percent left, giv`g an estimated 75 miles 4 those w/ leaden right foots. That, @ least,`s promising, & while the $28,000 MSRP`s rather the bitter pill, it’s the good bit cheaper (though smaller) than the Nissan Leaf . & don’t forget Z Uncle Sam`ld B happy to knock @ least the few grand off of Z price, too.
